Hi all. Hope you all enjoyed the holidays.
So, this is the first attempt at the Dragons Blood brew.
This time a year I couldn't really get my hands on speciality malts that turn a beer a nice red colour in time for today's brew, so the first attempt will use a small amount of black malt to adjust the pale colour down into (what I am hoping) will be a nice ruby red and give it a subtle roasted taste
So..Dragons Blood mk1
3.2 kg British pale malt
60g black malt
180g dextrose sugar (to up the strength
)
30g Northern Brewer hops for bittering
6-8g Fuggles hops for flavour.
